Meet the Staff
Jeff
Dr. Jeff Gardner
Dr. Jeff Gardner graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina in 1992. He is involved in many professional organizations including The South Carolina Dental Association, The Seattle Study Club, The Academy of General Dentistry and is a past president of The Coastal District Dental Society.
Dr. Gardner spends many hours promoting organized dentistry with SCDA and is chairman of the public relations task force. He became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2008. The award requires completion of 500 hours of approved continuing education credits. A maximum of 150 credit hours can be earned in each of the 16 dental subjects. This award ceremony took place in Orlando, Florida. He, along with 6 other dentists in South Carolina received this award. Only 7% of dentists in the United States have achieved this high honor.
He is married to Roberta Gardner with whom he has two daughters, Sophie and Lydia. His hobbies include: running, soccer, playing the drums and boating. He was very excited to sell his boat in May 2007.
Cherryl
Cheryl Knight
Cheryl’s voice is likely to be the first you will hear when calling. She has been thoroughly entertained working for Dr. Gardner since 2003 as his office manager. Cheryl is married and has a daughter and a stepson. She and her husband have settled in the Summerville/Goose Creek area. She is one of the few that has actually lived in this area all of her life… and no, she is not used to the summertime heat!!
Heather
Heather Sullivan
Heather graduated from Midlands Technical College in 2000. She is a registered dental hygienist and is the newest member to join Dr. Gardner’s team. Heather is originally from Columbia. She has worked as a hygienist in Hilton Head and Charleston. Heather enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and playing with her cat, Chalupa.
Kim
Kim Tillman
Kimberly has two daughters, a stepdaughter and a stepson. She is from Allentown, PA. She moved to Charleston in 2003. She has been a dental assistant for over 10 years. Kimberly has been with our practice since 2004.
Connie
Connie Unthank
Connie has a degree in dental hygiene from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. She lived most of her life in Northern Virginia then moved to Mount Pleasant in 1994. She has worked for Dr. Gardner for 10 years. Connie and her husband, Glenn, have two children and three grandchildren.
Maria
Maria
Maria is from Vermont. She moved to Mt. Pleasant with her husband and two daughters in 2001. She has been with Dr. Gardner’s practice since 2002. Her hobbies include decorating and playing with her poodle, Winston.
